Admission to Postgraduate and Research Programme (2018-19)
Eligibilty for M.S.(Engg.) or M.S.(Research): Candidates with an M Sc., B E, B Tech, M E, M Tech or MBBS are eligible to apply; the specific requirements for each Unit are listed below. They should have at least 50% in their highest University examination, and should also have qualified in either the GATE / JEST/GPAT or UGC or CSIR - NET-JRF/ ICMR - JRF / DBT-JRF/ INSPIRE-JRF.
Scholarships and grants: M S (Research)/ M S (Engg.) students receive scholarships of Rs. 25,000. Students are automatically enrolled in a Group Insurance Scheme and a comprehensive medical scheme and have access to an on-campus doctors, as well as to medical facilities elsewhere.
A student grant of upto Rs 40000 is provided for funding for travel to national and international conferences .
Int.Ph.D Programe
Minimum Requirement: Candidates should have a minimum of 55% marks at the B.Sc as applicable to the area . Candidates who are appearing for their final examination in B.Sc. can also apply.
Two-year Masters Programme in Chemistry
The New Chemistry Unit at JNCASR is offering a two-year Masters Programme in Chemistry for B.Sc. graduates to pursue main stream chemistry, with an option to specialize in Materials Chemistry or Chemical Biology, which are the frontier areas in Chemistry.
