Job Description
President job Position in Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for
Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR)
Qualification : The candidate should have a Doctorate degree
in the area of physical sciences/chemical sciences/life
sciences/engineering/any other related interdisciplinary area.
Desirable : (i) Post-doctoral research (ii) Original
published work of high standard and (iii) Evidence of high professional
eminence by way of recognitions like fellowship of academies,
national/international awards in science etc.
Experience :
For Direct Recruitment: At least 15 years of
teaching/research experience out of which 10 years must be at the level of
Professor or above in a recognized national/ international
universities/research institutes/ corporate or industrial R&D Labs etc. in
the domain areas of physical sciences/chemical sciences/ life
sciences/engineering/any other related interdisciplinary area as
faculty/scientist. Research experience will also include research carried out
during the doctoral studies.
For Deputation: Scientists or Technologists working in
Central/ State Governments/ Universities/ Recognized Research
Institutions/Semi-Government, Statutory or Autonomous Organisations in India,
possessing the essential educational qualifications and experience as mentioned
in the above paras and holding analogous post.
Pay : The position carries the apex scale at pay
level 17 i.e., Rs.2,25,000/- per month as per VII Pay Commission recommendation
of Government of India.
Age Limit : The applicant’s age should not exceed 63 years as on 1st July, 2019.
