Responsibilities
- Responsible and accountable for successful delivery of approved projects
- Responsible for planning and leading all aspects of the project activities, helping to coordinate the project working team, tightly controlling and running the project delivery, and responsibly handing over to product / support team.
- Encouraged to continue to iterate the process through the project lifecycle
- Project planning includes defining scope, developing project plan and schedule, building and tracking budget, and crafting or adopting the policies and procedures needed to achieve success.
- The PM is responsible for prioritizing an adequate project team (often with existing resources) that can meet project goals. This includes defining org structure, identifying roles and responsibilities, help staffing critical roles, etc.
- Leading all aspects of and carrying out the project plan in order to achieve the goals, requiring leadership skills, clear and constant communication, and conflict resolution.
