RachTR is looking for a Procurement In-charge who can take of raw material purchase and machinery purchase for its manufacturing plant and manage all accounts with Vendors.

Job Summary

RachTR  is seeking a detail-oriented, thorough, and organized procurement Senior Executive to oversee purchases of Raw Materials, Packaging Material Machinery and develop new vendors. In this position, you will play a key role in procuring high-quality and cost-efficient supplies for our organization. You will follow procurement procedures, maintain an updated list of current and incoming inventory, and be responsible for approving purchases and placing orders. Procurement Senior Executive responsibilities include strategizing to find cost-effective deals and suppliers. The Procurement Senior’s Executive duty is to discover the best ways to cut procurement expenses so that the company can invest in growth and people.

Job Description:

Procurement of chemicals, packaging items and machinery.

Finding multiple sources of required chemicals, packaging items and machinery.

Comparing quotations from different vendors and finalizing best source based on Technical specifications, Payment Terms, Transportation cost and prices. 

Searching alternatives for chemicals used in Production.

Searching for new chemicals, packaging items and their sources as per the requirement of the R&D department.

Discussion with vendors and their executives for payment terms, prices, inventory availability, logistics, and alternates of chemicals used at our end.

Procurement of Samples and Chemicals by placing cold calls.

Search overseas vendors for Major raw materials and packaging items used.

Market pricing forecast as per Crude, Dollar and Raw Material prices.

Procurement Planning and executing the plan as per the requirement of production.

Visit and meet vendors to develop relationships and to provide feedback of products used, and understand the market.

Establishing a cordial relationship with vendors of chemicals, packaging items and machinery.

Monthly Procurement Report with transportation charges and analysis.

Job Type: Full time with probation for 1st 6 months.

Salary: - 30K - Negotiable

Eligibility: Minimum Experience of 1 Year in Procurement in Chemical Procurement in FMCG, Pharmaceutical, Paint and Construction Chemical Industry.. B. Tech in Chemical Engineering/ Industrial Engineering/ B.Sc or M. Sc in Chemistry. Proficient in MS Office.

Duties & Responsibilities-

¨     To manage the procurement of all raw materials and machinery used in manufacturing.

¨     To understand the requirement, technical specification of chemicals used in manufacturing and calculate requirement as per production plan.  And finally to place an order by sending PO.

¨     To enhance the Credit Period, optimize the transportation charges and Raw Material holding Inventory, and to purchase all items at most cost-effective prices.

¨     Filed Work & Office Work – Both. Need to visit vendors which can include companies like Dow, BASF or their distributors and also local Vendors. Visit Exhibitions.

¨     Input to and hold responsibility for department budget

¨     To manage the procurement of all possible new chemicals/ raw materials required in the formulation of new products based on inputs given by R&D Team. Find different sources and get a minimum of 3 quotes for product costing.

¨     Get minimum 3 quotes of all Raw Materials for every purchase.

¨     To find minimum 3 vendors for all Raw Materials.

¨     Prepare Procurement Analysis reports and Monthly Purchase budgets.

¨     Develop and implement new strategies for creating or improving processes and procedures to improve performance.

¨     Filed Work & Office Work – Both. Need to visit Vendors, Exhibitions, Seminars, transporters for Better Logistic Deals and transportation arrangement. While managing end to end dispatch details of each shipment.

¨     Understand the Market and Supply chain of Chemicals to be able to predict the prices in the market.

¨     Map the whole market in terms of Suppliers and Distributors for all category of Raw Materials being used in production.

¨     Ensure all compliance needs are met.

¨     Optimize procurement time for all Shipments by eliminating unnecessary delays.

¨     Practice conflict resolution among departments, transporters, and vendors.

¨     Report and track transportation expenses to reduce costs.

¨     Analyze procurement metrics and data to determine areas to improve.

¨     Coordinate with Plant Manager, Production Team and Store Manager to ensure an efficient production plan and inventory management. working environment

¨     Ensure all legal requirements, company safety procedures, and local and state health and safety regulations are met.

Qualifications:

¨     Must possess a minimum of a relevant Bachelor’s degree, and/or have 5+ years in Chemicals Procurement.

¨     Proven leadership ability and desire to drive change and remain focused on continuous improvement.

¨     Must be dependable and accountable.

¨     Accurate and precise attention to detail.

¨     Ability to analyze data for capacity and usage information.

¨     Strong understanding of materials, construction chemicals, and product creation process preferred.

¨     Familiarity with product management and development approaches, including consumer insights and competitive product analysis.

¨     Strong project management, including developing action plans, identifying deliverables, and presenting results.

¨     Must be willing to travel.

¨     Ability to negotiate, establish, and administer contracts.
