It is a leading player in the Power Transmission & Distribution business with a product portfolio ranging from Medium Voltage to Ultra High Voltage (1200 kV) for Power Generation, Utility, Industry and Infrastructure markets.
Designation:Procurement specialist
Eligibility Criteria:Minimum 5 to 6 years of Experience
Roles and Responsibilities:
Place and follow-up on POs. Manage relationships with suppliers for PO execution. Manage problems and schedule changes. Update ERP. Assess supplier capabilities and make recommendations on supplier acceptability. Understand strategies for assigned commodities & proactively drive initiatives to meet Sourcing objectives. Analyze and track Supplier promise date accuracy and develop reports to ensure Supplier promise date accuracy. Support commodity buys. Writes reports to track PO activity and supplier performance. Communicates with the direct team and supervisor. Presents to internal teams on metrics, project status and research. Elaborates proposals for improvement in approaches, methods, procedures and processes in their own field. Contributes to projects as a team member. Resolve any Invoice, Receiving, Warehouse NCRs and Payment issues Leverage: technical/market expertise in raw material procurement Creation of Stock reports, Inventory reports, responsible for the commodity regional reporting of savings within the official GE tools Manage & monitor transportation requests.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Candidate must have a relevant Bachelor’s degree and minimum 3-5 years of professional experience within the areas of Sourcing or supply chain management, preferably from an international company Experience in materials management, preferably in metal / heavy industry Familiarity with Oracle or other ERP systems Experience into logistic is a plus Excellent English skills both orally and in writing.
