Leadership Responsibilities
- Business Problem / Idea / Use-case / Market Segment Validation: Identifying a business problem, formulating the idea along with the use case, defining the market segment to have conversations to validate the problem at hand.
- Pre-Launch Stage: Product positioning, messaging, and overall go-to-market strategy.
- Post-launch Stage: Sales enablement, demand generation, driving product adoption.
- People Management: Hiring, mentoring, and guiding your team members
- Identifying the buyer personas that will help define the go-to-market strategy for the products
- Product positioning messaging to target, attract and convert prospects / leads.
- Understanding implementing the mechanisms to reach out to the target personas via various channels ( LinkedIn / Adwords /other campaigns, lead databases, web campaigns, conferences, webinars etc.)
- Competitive market intelligence research on similar product offerings that helps aid the team s understanding of the market and articulating our differentiating position from competition
- Go-to-market strategy and launch plans that outline in detail how the product will be promoted and sold
- Demand generation planning includes working with engineering and product teams to create a plan for pre post-launch content generation, ensuring the entire web journey for prospects is in-place , preparation and planning for running campaigns, mechanisms to understand prospect behavior and product usage , applying strategies to enhance ROI on marketing spend etc.
- Marketing Budget management to manage spend across channels to maximize return on investment. These will include experimenting across channels (google adwords , linkedin ads, other social media campaigns, webinars, conferences etc.) , figuring out strategies which will work for the product suite leveraging data to boost return on product marketing expenditure.
- Driving product adoption through social media, client testimonials, whitepapers etc.
- Drive our content strategy for educating the market and acquiring new business.
- Build high performing, bold, committed product marketing team which will be action-oriented,
Job Requirements
- Bachelor s (BA or BS) or MBA, computer science, GIS or related field; or equivalent experience.
- 15+ Years of experience.
- Previous experience as a product manager, marketing manager, business analyst, or in a related field.
- In- depth understanding of Agile methodologies, product life- cycle, and up to date on industry standards and best practices.
- Understands building for scale, and the vision that re- usable services in our platform architecture will enable us to derive new products with a much shorter time to market.
- Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) and standard product requirement planning tools (JIRA, Aha!, Confluence or similar).
- Working knowledge of software development, software as a service (SaaS).
- Comfortable working with multiple, cross functional teams, in- house and remote, domestically, and international.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to build strong interpersonal relationships with engineering team, leadership, senior management, and internal and external stakeholders.
