IIM Amritsar invites applications from outstanding academicians, with proven credentials in teaching and research in management area from the schools of repute in India/abroad. Current/future vacancies are at the levels of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor Grade – I, in regular/adjunct/visiting capacity.
Management Disciplines/Areas Entrepreneurship; Finance & Accounting; Information Systems/IT; Managerial Communication; Marketing; Public Policy & Governance (including e-Governance); Analytics; Economics.
Minimum Educational Qualifications :(Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor Grade - I) PhD degree or equivalent, with a first class or equivalent in the preceding degree in the appropriate discipline, with a very good academic record throughout. Successful track record of teaching; training; research; and, publications in reputed international peer-reviewed journals.
Minimum Experience for Professor :A minimum post-qualification experience of ten years in teaching/industry/research, of which, at least four years of experience at the level of Associate Professor in institutions of high repute such as IIMs, IITs, IISc Bangalore, NITIE Mumbai, IISERs or at an equivalent level in such other globally recognized Indian or foreign institutions of comparable standards as may be decided by IIM Amritsar. The candidate must have excellent research record to warrant appointment as Full Professor.
Minimum Experience for Associate Professor : A minimum post-qualification experience of six years in teaching/industry/research, of which, at least three years of experience at the level of Assistant Professor in institutions of high repute such as IIMs, IITs, IISc Bangalore, NITIE Mumbai, IISERs or at an equivalent level in such other globally recognized Indian or foreign institutions of comparable standards as may be decided by IIM Amritsar. The candidate for appointment for the rank of Associate Professor must have research record commensurate with the rank.

Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Amritsar is the 15th IIM set up by the Ministry of Human Resources Development with the support of the Government of Punjab. After the registration of IIM Amritsar Society on July 27, 2015, the first batch for the class of 2015-17 was enrolled in August 2015. Later, on October 14, 2015, IIM Amritsar Board of Governance & Society was constituted. In June 2016, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley laid down the foundation stone for IIM Amritsar Campus. Currently, IIM Amritsar is run under the mentorship of IIM Kozhikode, the 5th oldest IIM and one of the premier management institutes in the country.
