Posts, Minimum Educational Qualifications and Experience for Faculty Positions
1. Name of Post: Associate Professor
2. Minimum Educational Qualification: Minimum Educational Qualification: Ph.D. in relevant discipline Experience: Post Ph.D. experience of 6 years in teaching / research / industry. Out of this at least 3 years should be at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent at institutes such as IITs, IISc Bengaluru, IISERs, NITIE Mumbai, NITs or institutions of repute within India or abroad.
1. Professor
Minimum Educational Qualification: Ph.D. in relevant discipline
Experience: Post Ph.D. experience of 10 years in teaching / research /
industry. Out of this at least 4 years should be at the level of Associate
Professor or equivalent at institutes such as IITs, IISc Bengaluru, IISERs,
NITIE Mumbai, NITs or institutions of repute within India or abroad.
2. Associate Professor
Minimum Educational Qualification: Ph.D. in relevant discipline
Experience: Post Ph.D. experience of 6 years in teaching / research /
industry. Out of this at least 3 years should be at the level of Assistant
Professor or equivalent at institutes such as IITs, IISc Bengaluru, IISERs,
NITIE Mumbai, NITs or institutions of repute within India or abroad.
3. Assistant Professor
Minimum Educational Qualification: Ph.D. in relevant discipline
Experience: Post Ph.D. experience of 3 years in teaching / research /
industry. The teaching / research experience should be at institutes such
as IITs, IISc Bengaluru, IISERs, NITIE Mumbai, NITs or institutions of
repute within India or abroad.
4.Assistant Professor (Contract)
Candidates with less then three years of post Ph.D. experience can apply for Assistant Professor (Contract). After obtaining 3 years of Post Ph.D. experience, their services can be regularized based on their satisfactory performance.
