Qualification :
Department of Food
Engineering (FE) : A good academic record of having Ph.D.
Degree with Master’s Degree (minimum 55% in case of science fields/ minimum 60%
in case of Engineering disciplines–as per UGC or AICTE as applicable) in the
appropriate branch* of Science/Engineering/Technology in food
science/technology or allied subjects and experience of ten years in teaching,
research and/or industry, out of which at least three years at the level of
Associate Professor or equivalent grade. *Master of Engineering/Technology in
Food Engineering/Food Process Engineering/Dairy Engineering /Dairy and Food
Engineering/Post Harvest Process and Food Engineering/Bioprocess
Engineering/Food Process Engineering and Management/combination of any of these
or related specializations will only be considered.
Department of Food Science & Technology (FST) : A good academic record with Master’s Degree (minimum 55% in case of science fields/ minimum 60% in case of Engineering disciplines –as per UGC or AICTE as applicable) in the appropriate branch* of Science/Engineering /Technology in Food Science/Technology or allied subjects and experience of ten years in teaching, research and/or industry, out of which at least three years at the level of Associate Professor/Reader or equivalent grade. *Master of Science/Technology/Engineering in Food Technology/Food Technology and Management/Chemical Technology with Food Technology/ Food and Fermentation Technology/ Food Science & Nutrition/Food Toxicology/Food Engg./ Food Process Engg./ Food Process Engg. & Management / Food Science & Technology/Dairy Technology/Veterinary & Animal Sciences including Fisheries/Livestock Product Technology/Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering/ Food and Biochemical Engineering AND allied subjects OR an equivalent degree from a recognized university.
