Job Description
Program Manager
- The PM’s specific responsibilities may include:
- Manage a portfolio of projects across India.
- Provide support to the project teams that comprises of Program Officers, Program Assistants and other field staff.
- Travel to project locations to work with the Program Officers and provide direct oversight.
- Analyze and clean primary and secondary data from surveys and administrative databases.
- Actively liaise with governmental and nongovernmental partners to update them on our program timelines.
- Assist with identifying possible opportunities to improve our program and to implement new effective interventions.
- Support the project team in preparing progress reports to the donors and funding agencies.
- Keep a watch over the budget and the financial health of the project.
- Help to recruit for Program Officers as needed. Oversee their hiring and on-boarding in close coordination with HR and Administrative team.
- Mentor the team of Program Officers in their personal and professional development; help maintain adequate work-life balance.
- Apprise the senior management team on the progress of the project on a regular basis.
- Take an active role in capacity development, training and presenting as required.
Education:
- Master’s degree in economics, public policy/administration, engineering, or health.
- Understanding the different statistical methods (econometrics or biostatistics) that could be used to evaluate our programs.
- Comfortable working with Stata or R.
- Strong interest in finding the best ways possible to improve the world.
- Management: Proven ability to hand several different projects/tasks at one time, successfully complete tasks assigned, and meeting deadlines. A willingness to work hard, be self-motivated and learn will be essential for doing well in this position.
- Experience in managing teams and interacting with institutional partners strongly desired.
- Travel: Travel to different parts of India to meet with relevant stakeholders.
- Work authorization in India
Details:
- Accepting applications on a rolling basis.
- Start date is flexible.
- Required to work in Delhi.
- Salary range: INR 110,000- 160,000 per month depending on prior experience and skill set.
- This position requires a two year commitment
