Job Description
About the Role:
- In addition to collaborating with more than 300 faculty and major public and private sector Indiapartners, we are currently expanding programs throughout India and South Asia including Nepal andPakistan and deepening current programs in workforce development, healthcare, and agriculture.
- Advancing identified early-stage partnership opportunities in a range of topics including those listed above, including via foundation, bi-national, corporate, and national funding opportunities
- Taking ownership of partnership development by taking initiative to reach out to potential partners, coordinating with teammates and external partners, and following up consistently with an outcome-oriented perspective throughout
- Preparing for meetings with potential academic, private- and public- sector partners by timely conducting online and offline research
- Scheduling and conduct conference calls, take notes, and circulate minutes of meeting to participants.
- Track and follow up with action items.
- Serving as point of contact for editorial calendar and coordinate with U.S. and India colleagues to generate stories for OSU India Gateway newsletter
- Other tasks and projects as assigned by the Assistant Director.
- Bachelor's degree in any subject
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational, time management and project management skills
- Ability to work in an international and multi-cultural team
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Advanced knowledge of common computer applications such as Microsoft Office, (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
- Fluency in English is required, and comprehension of an additional language, such as Hindi or Tamil, is highly preferred.
- Previous experience in journalism, higher education, content writing, business development, or nonprofit program management will be looked upon favorably, though their absence is not a barrier.
