Project Assistant level –II/IT Officer/Programme Officer recruitment in CSIR-NBRI
Area I: Project entitled, “CSIR‐Phytopharmaceutical Mission”
1.Qualification: M.Sc. (55%) in Botany/ Biotechnology/Plant Science.
Desirable: Experience in Survey and collection/Taxonomy of higher plants .
2.Qualification: M.Sc. (55%) in organic chemistry/biochemistry /Pharmacology/Pharma cognosy /Botany / Plant Science / M. Pharma (55%)
Desirable: Experience in Pharmacognosy/metab olite profiling/ chemoprofiling of medicinal plants using HPTLC/ HPLC / gas chromatography/ GC‐ MS/NMR spectroscopy/ Handing of small animals and testing of herbal products.
3.Qualification: M.Sc/M.Sc. (Ag.) (55%) in Agronomy/ Horticulture/Soil Science/ Genetics & Plant Breeding /Botany/Plant Science
Desirable: Research experience in various agricultural and horticultural operations.
4.Qualification:M.Sc. (55%) in Botany/ Biotechnology/ Genetics/ Biochemistry/ Life Science .
Desirable: Research experience in molecular biology techniques/ molecular markers development and its applications/plant tissue culture.
Stipend: Rs.25000/‐p.m + HRA
Age: 30 years
Area II: Project entitled, “Establishment of ENVIS Centre on Indicator of plant pollution in NBRI”
Programme Officer
Qualification: 1st class M.Sc. In Botany/Life Science/ Environmental Science/Biochemistry with atleast 03 years experience after M.Sc.
Desirable : Well versed in computer application
Age:45 years
Pay Scale : Rs.35079/‐ p.m.
IT Officer
Qualification: M.Sc. (55%) in Botany/ Life Science/ Environmental Science/ Biochemistry with atleast 01 year experience after M.Sc.
Desirable : Knowledge RS/GIS and good knowledge of Computer application
Age: 30 years
Pay Scale :Rs.23696.20
Mode of Selection: Through Interview. However, if large number of candidates turn up, a Screening test comprising of multiple choice objective questions may be held for short listing the candidates for interview.

The National Botanical Research Institute (NBRI)
- is amongst one of the constituent national research laboratories and
institutes of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR),
New Delhi. Originally set up as the National Botanic Gardens (NBG) by
the State Government of Uttar Pradesh (U.P.), it was taken over by the
CSIR in 1953. Though, initially engaged in research work in the
classical botanical disciplines, the NBG went on laying an increasing
emphasis, in keeping with the national needs and priorities in the field
of plant sciences, on its applied and developmental research
