Project Assistant Job Opportunity In Institute Of Physics, Bhubaneswar

Project Title: “Role of Ion Irradiation induced Defects on the Morphological and Transport properties of Graphene”

Essential & Desirable Qualification: The applicant must have First Class MSc in Physics/ Material Science/nanotechnology/Engineering Physics from a recognized University. The candidates who have qualified CSIR/UGC/NET(LS)/JEST will be preferred. Candidates having prior research experience of more than one year in Industry/Academia will also be preferred. It is preferable that the candidate has experience in some of the following areas: Graphene based materials, measurements on Graphene (SLG, RGO etc.), Transport property measurement, Ion implantation, measurements using Raman spectroscopy and Atomic force microscopy.

Duration: Initial appointment of the candidate will be for 1 year, extendable on annual basis depending on the performance of the candidate, up to two year or upon termination of the project, whichever occurs earlier.

Fellowship: As per IOP and updated DST-SERB rules

Project Description: The primary aim of the project is to understand the Role of Ion Irradiation induced Defects on the Morphological and Transport properties of Graphene.

Nature of Study: making graphene, introduction of defects, measuring and understanding structural, chemical and transport properties.
