Job Summary:

• The Project Officer will be based at Jharkhand. 
• The position will be responsible for implementing agri-value chain project in which s/he has to perform other related tasks like training to village cadres, agri-input sales & marketing, liasioning with external stakeholders, technical documentation, proposal development, etc as and when required based on the organizational need.
  

• Planning
  
• Work with the team members to develop work-plan for the specific geographic areas and ensure that work-plans are followed. Roll out the activities as per the approved work-plan. Regular field visit planning & execution
  
• Advocacy and Liaison
  
• Develop external relations, establish frequent dialogue and coordinate with;
  
• Government agencies and officials in SRLMs or Agri-Horti deptt, KVKs and other relevant disciplines at the block and district level.
  
• Media representatives for fair and honest representation of the program updates. 
  
• Monitoring and supportive supervision
  
• Provide periodic training to the cadres/farmers for qualitative implementation of the field activities.
  
• Regular field visits as per the work plan to provide monitoring and support supervision to the farmers/cadres.
  
• Reporting and Documentation
  
• Ensure timely submission of quantitative and narrative reports to the Team Leader.
  
• Correct and accurate data collection from implementing teams, stakeholders and relevant Government departments.
  
• Documentation of the program highlights, supported with photographs, audio and video clips.
  

• A degree in management, social work, social sciences, rural development, or equivalent.
  
• Knowledge of agri-value chain, agri-business, technical documentation, etc is required
  
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in implementing development programs/ sales & marketing. Relevant experience in livelihood
  
• Experience of working at district and block level with government agencies in relevant areas such as livelihood, agri-input sales, value chain or any other government project/scheme is preferred.
  
• Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to prepare project documentation and progress reports in English and Hindi are required.
  
• High concern for results, a thoughtful and creative problem solver, and good at working with people.
  
• Functional knowledge of any local language is desired.
