Name of the post: Project Assistant (UDC)/ No of vacancies: One post (UR)

Qualification in Details: Applications are invited from eligible candidates through email for the following post under the project entitled 'Suitable Regional Foods for Community based Management of Children with Acute malnutrition in Indian Context—Phase-lll' funded by UNICEF.

Essential Qualifications: 12th Pass or equivalent from a recognized board with 5 years experience of administrative work or Graduate in any discipline with 2 years experience of administrative work and a speed test of not less than 8000 key depressions per hour (KDPH) on computer.

Desirable: 2 years experience in data base management and analysis.

Consolidated Salary: Rs.17,000-00 p.m. fixed without an allowances.

Tenure: Upto 31 st December, 2020.

Place of work: ICMR-NIN, Hyderabad.

National Institute of Nutrition (NIN) was founded by Sir Robert McCarrison in the year 1918 as ‘Beri-Beri’ Enquiry Unit in a single room laboratory at the Pasteur Institute, Coonoor, Tamil Nadu. Within a short span of seven years, this unit blossomed into a 'Deficiency Disease Enquiry' and later in 1928, emerged as full-fledged 'Nutrition Research Laboratories' (NRL) with Dr. McCarrison as its first Director. It was shifted to Hyderabad in 1958.
