THSTI invites applications for the positions of Project Associate-I
Project : Molecular mechanisms mediated by vitamin D signalling on skeletal muscle function
No. of post: One
Age limit: 35 years
Minimum Qualification and Experience: M.Sc in Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/Biology or equivalent degree with minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade
Experience: Candidates having research experience in molecular biology and cell biology. Experience in cell culture biochemical methods such as western blotting, immunoprecipitation is mandatory. Any bioinformatic skill in analyzing data is a huge plus
Desirable Qualification/Experience: Candidates are expected to be well-trained in managing and working in cell culture facility and experienced in basic biochemical techniques. Candidate will learn multiple techniques such as microscopy, FACS and high throughput sequencing and work at the interface of clinical and biological research.
Monthly Emoluments:
(i) Rs.31,000/- +HRA to Scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests- CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government and their Agencies and Institutions.
(ii) Rs. 25,000/- +HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above
