Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani (BITS Pilani) invites application for the position Project Fellow
Topic of the project work: Design and implementation of protocols for autonomous UAV Networks for search and rescue application
Position Duration: Till 31 st December 2021. It will be extended based on availability of funding from BITS. It is highly likely to be extended
Principal Investigator (PI): Dr. G S S Chalapathi
Project Description: Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Networks are being deployed for various disaster management operations in the recent times. The project would focus on the following aspects:
a. Development and implementation of secure routing and other communication protocols for UAV networks.
b. Investigating the feasibility of the use of blockchains for UAV networks for secure data transmission
c. Deployment of UAV network for search and rescue operations.
Stipend Amount ₹31,000 per month. The stipend for this position will be paid through the OPERA Grant of the PI.
Essential Qualifications:
a. M.E./ M.Tech in Embedded Systems/ Computer Science from a reputed institute with a min. CGPA of 7.5 or 75% (percentage system)
b. Previous project experience in Machine Learning, Deep learning and Image processing is a must.
Desirable Qualification:
a. Good written and spoken English.
b. Good publication record
c. A zeal to publish in top-tier journals
