Project Fellows 

Project Title  :   Ecological responses of flora and fauna to climate change in the TransHimalayan landscape with special reference to vulnerability and adaptations - GoIGEF-UNDP Third NATCOM Project

Qualification  :  Post Graduate Degree in Botany/Forestry/Environmental Science/Wildlife Science/Life sciences with 60% marks

Desirable :  Research experience on Floristic/Ecological surveys/Climate change/RS &GIS related studies in western Himalaya

Location of Project site :   Ladakh, J&K and Himachal Pradesh

Project Fellows 

Project Title  :   Assessment of Climate Change Impacts on Soil Health through Microbial and Plant Communities in Alpine Ecosystems of Indian Himalayan Region- GoIGEF-UNDP Third NATCOM Project

Qualification : Post Graduate Degree in Botany/ Environmental Sciences/ Life Sciences/ Forestry with minimum 60% marks

Desirable :  Experience of field work on sampling Himalayan vegetation micro-flora / soil and nutrient analysis Phenocam based study of plant phenology and analysis of responses of plants to climatic variation; Science writing and good communication skills

Location of Project site :  WII Dehradun, with extensive traveling to alpine areas in the Indian Himalayan Region (Uttarakhand and Sikkim)

Project Fellows 

Project Title  :   Mainstreaming landscape approach for biodiversity conservation, improved livelihoods and ecosystem health in Kailash Sacred Landscape part of India

Qualification :  Post Graduate Degree in Botany/ Environmental Sciences/ Life Sciences/ Forestry with minimum 60% marks

Desirable :  Experience of field work on sampling Himalayan vegetation, Socio-economic surveys Experience of working on in-situ and ex-situ conservation of medicinal plants / orchids

Location of Project site :  WII Dehradun, with extensive traveling to remote parts of Kailash Sacred Landscape in India (Pithoragarh District, Uttarakhand.

Age and Emoluments for above mentioned projects :  Not exceeding 28 years as on the date of interview. Upper age limit in case of applicants belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories may be relaxed as per the GOI rules Rs. 25,000 per month + HRA
