Botany/Forestry/Environmental Science/Wildlife Science/Life sciences with 60%
marks
Desirable : Research
experience on Floristic/Ecological surveys/Climate change/RS &GIS related
studies in western Himalaya
Location of Project site :
Ladakh, J&K and Himachal

Project Fellows
Project Title : Assessment of Climate Change Impacts on Soil
Health through Microbial and Plant Communities in Alpine Ecosystems of Indian
Himalayan Region- GoIGEF-UNDP Third NATCOM Project
Qualification : Post Graduate Degree in Botany/ Environmental
Sciences/ Life Sciences/ Forestry with minimum 60% marks
Desirable : Experience
of field work on sampling Himalayan vegetation micro-flora / soil and nutrient
analysis Phenocam based study of plant phenology and analysis of responses of
plants to climatic variation; Science writing and good communication skills
Location of Project site : WII Dehradun, with extensive traveling to
alpine areas in the Indian Himalayan Region (Uttarakhand and Sikkim)

biodiversity conservation, improved livelihoods and ecosystem health in Kailash
Sacred Landscape part of India
Qualification : Post
Graduate Degree in Botany/ Environmental Sciences/ Life Sciences/ Forestry with
minimum 60% marks
Desirable : Experience of field work on sampling Himalayan
vegetation, Socio-economic surveys Experience of working on in-situ and ex-situ
conservation of medicinal plants / orchids
Location of Project site : WII Dehradun, with extensive traveling to
remote parts of Kailash Sacred Landscape in India (Pithoragarh District,
Uttarakhand.
Age and Emoluments for above mentioned projects : Not exceeding 28 years as on the date of interview. Upper age limit in case of applicants belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories may be relaxed as per the GOI rules Rs. 25,000 per month + HRA
