Today, PATH’s projects in India focus on Tuberculosis, HIV, Neglected Tropical Diseases, Vaccines, and Reproductive, Maternal, New born, Child health, Nutrition and Adolescents (also called Family Health portfolio). PATH is a pioneer of rice fortification technology and has played a leading global role in making this innovation ready for large-scale adoption. Through a health system strengthening approach, PATH works to improve RMNCHA+N indicators by expanding equitable access to high quality interventions, technologies, innovative and affordable drugs, diagnostics and devices with a focus on vulnerable populations.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate program activities, including preparation and implementation of work plans, stakeholder meetings (eg-WCD, NITI, FSSAI, MoHFW etc), and liasioning with technical committees, timelines, implementation and monitoring deliverables.
  • Ensure timely and appropriate implementation of project goals, proactively manage changes in scope and adopt contingency plans in a complex project environment.
  • Contribute in strategizing/revising the project strategy that aligns with national/ state health and nutrition policy and guidelines such as Poshan Abhiyan, National Nutrition Mission, ICDS , Anaemia Mukt Bharat, and others.
  • Develop and execute training tools for stakeholders and adapt behavior change communication materials as appropriate.
  • Create program reports for, internal and external stakeholders with the inputs from project implementation team.
  • Support scale up of rice fortification program in India and Myanmar.
  • Support Director, Family Health at PATH in developing strategic plans as well as long-term strategies for the expansion of Family Health work in India and South Asia.
  • Support Director, Family Health at PATH on work with national and global technical and policy leaders to adapt and develop nutrition intervention guidance specific for the India context.
  • Facilitate, coordinate and manage evidences generated through formative, process and outcome assessments.
  • Coordinate advocacy and awareness meetings and events at the national and state level.
  • Contribute to documentation of experience and lessons learned.
  • Contribute to identification of future funding mechanisms and writing of proposals for scaling up nutrition intervention activities in India.
  • Support Nutrition projects in Myanmar and South Asia region


Required Skills

Required Experience
  • Degree in Nutrition/Medicine with specialization in Public Health/Preventive and Social Medicine with an excellent academic record
  • 8-15 years relevant work experience in health, nutrition or WASH with a focus on maternal, newborn health and nutrition, food fortification and early childhood development will be useful or equivalent in relevant discipline and experience of working with government partners at National and State level.
  • Degree in Nutrition/ Medicine with specialization in Public Health/Preventive and Social Medicine with a focus on maternal, newborn health and nutrition and early child hood development will be useful or equivalent in relevant discipline.
  • Must have managed complex technical projects
  • Strongly prefer excellent writing skills and experience with project coordination and implementation of different qualitative and quantitative research methods
  • Ability to present in Public forum.
  • Knowledge of project management, project reporting and risk management tools. Certification in project management preferred.
  • Previous experience working in cross-functional teams (or a matrixed organizational structure).
  • Strong communication skills, capacity to understand situations and project scenario and translate effectively into communication collaterals for stakeholders and partners.
  • Proven interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Excellent command over spoken and written English, and Hindi.
  • Willingness and ability to travel
  • Excellent MS Office skills (especially Word and PowerPoint).
  • Well-organized and attention to details with good follow-through skills.
