Project Title  :  POS Tagged Bangla Text Corpus Generation (2018-2021)

Qualification  : 

Essential for (Linguistics) :  (a) 1st class MA in Linguistics/ Applied Linguistics/ allied disciplines with sound knowledge in Bangla morphology, grammar, part-of-speech, and lexicography, (b) Research experience for at least 1 (one) year in the area of Natural Language Processing and Language Computation.

Desirable :  (a) Working knowledge in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point etc.), (b) Experience of working with NLP Toolkit and software, (c) Ability to handle large amount of Unicode compatible Bangla text data, (d) Good knowledge in POS tagging, Chunking, Text Annotation, transcription etc. (e) Knowledge in project report preparation and research paper writing and presentation.

Essential for (Computer Science) :  (a) MCA/ B.Tech. with good programming skill in Phyton, C++, or JAVA. (b) Experience in Webpage Design, Homepage maintenance, GUI development.

Desirable : (a) Good knowledge in HTML, CSS, XML, PHP, Core Draw, Photoshop, MS Word, Excel, (b) Experience of working with NLP Toolkit and software, (c) Ability to handle large amount of Unicode compatible Bangla text data, (d) Knowledge in Text annotation, Chunking, transcription etc. (e) Knowledge in project report preparation and research paper writing and presentation.

Pay :  Consolidated salary within the range between Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand only) to Rs. 25,000/- (Rupees twenty five thousand only) per month.

Age Limit :  Should not exceed 35 years as on 01 May 2018 with usual relaxation for SC/ ST/ OBC/ differently abled candidates will be applicable. Age may be relaxed for exceptionally bright candidates with relevant research experience.
