5. About the Project and Job Summary:
i. Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII) is a national level resource agency for cluster development programmes in India. It has been working closely with DC(Handlooms), MoMSME, MoRD, SIDBI, GIZ etc. EDII is a national Technical Agency for Scheme of Funds for Regeneration of Traditional Industries (SFURTI) scheme of Ministry of MSME, Govt. of India, working across states and UTs with NAs like KVIC, COHANDS, IED Odisha, TRIFED, PPDC etc.
ii. The SFURTI scheme under Ministry of MSME, Government of India focuses on development of traditional clusters enhancing livelihood and income generating activities of artisans, weavers, farmers, producers by supporting infrastructural, technological and thematic interventions.
iii. EDII as Technical Agency (TA) extends the support of technical nature to the Implementing Agencies (IA), Nodal Agencies (NA) and other stakeholders in implementation of the scheme. While doing so, it also seeks to inform and influence policy, bring key issues and challenges for discussions on a national platform, build sectoral consensus and provide avenues of sharing experiences.
iv. The programme has a vision, to revitalize the traditional cluster projects for the target beneficiaries like artisans, weavers, farmers, producers in a significant manner, through catapulting these traditional technique to the higher value markets within and outside the country.
v. The programme will have a time bound implementation framework within which the interventions will be made for developing clusters as a viable and sustainable means of livelihoods for the target beneficiaries and other stakeholders. The details of the scheme can be read on the ministry’s website.
vi. EDII is inviting applications from self-driven professionals for the achieving the following deliverables
6. Key Responsibilities: Following are his/her key responsibilities:
i. Lead Cluster Development programme in the region
ii. Identify potential clusters and Implementing Agencies for implementation of SFURTI cluster programmes
iii. Conduct various surveys, studies to prepare Diagnostic Study Report(DSR) / Detailed Project Report(DPR) - map resources/activities, SWOT / benchmarking analysis of the clusters, sectors
iv. Provide technical support to the stakeholders in implementation of the projects.
v. Facilitate market linkages and create multiple marketing channels for selling of the products
vi. Design Soft and Thematic Interventions for the projects
vii. Ensure time-bound interventions, impacts and outcomes under the projects
viii. Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports for the clients and internal records
ix. Manage multiple stakeholders
x. Coordinates and monitors schedule updates, invoices, and submittals.
xi. Should be able to prepare financial documents, presentations on project progress with the help of Computer.
xii. Any other task as assigned by the Head Office and/or ERO, Bhubaneswar Office
7. Person Specification: Skills & Competencies:
i. More than 3 years of relevant experience
ii. Experience of leading, managing and working in teams
iii. Should have been in leadership position for at least 1 year
iv. Good communication and interpersonal skills
v. Should be willing to travel / tour to project fields
8. Education & Qualification: MBA/ PGDM in management or similar subjects; Master’s degree in other subjects with significant relevant experience may also be considered; Graduate/post graduate degree in engineering/technology / textile designing/ fashion designing would add value. Excellent communication skills in English and Odia/Hindi, and proficiency in computers are essential.
9. Compensation: Salary range in this position is commensurate to industry standards and will be determined based upon the experiences and fixed as per the HR policies of the Institute. All the selected candidates may be posted anywhere in the country. Selected candidates must be prepared to work in one or more than one of such programmes/activities, and depending on the requirements of the institute.
