Education & Work Experience: G-Bachelor's Level Degree - 10 year(s) experience
Essential: Bachelor’s in the field of Biology/ Natural Sciences / Environmental Sciences/Botany/ Zoology/Forestry or related field
Desirable: Master’s in the field of Biology/ Natural Sciences / Environmental Sciences/Botany/ Zoology/Forestry or related field will be an advantage
Experience:
• 10 years of work experience in areas related to biodiversity /natural resource management/other related fields
• 7 years of working experience with an apex body of the Government of India, mandated to work on biodiversity and related matters.
• 2 years of experience in biodiversity finance is highly desirable and preferred
• Experience of working with apex governing bodies (MoEFCC/NBA) on matters pertaining to Biological Diversity Act 2002, Regulation on Access and Benefit Sharing and National/subnational Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plans.
• Experience in research, analysis and assessments of biodiversity attributable public finance
• Experience in supporting government on mandatory national reporting to CBD Secretariat including financial reporting
• Experience in statistical data analysis on biodiversity
• Experience in project management and coordination of donor funded project
• Experience of design, development and organization of national and international events and training programmes related to biodiversity and natural resource management.
• Experience of writing technical papers/articles on biodiversity and related matters, in
national/international Journal/magazines will be an added advantage
Language Requirements: Proficiency in English with excellent writing skills in English
Remuneration package is Rs. 1,39,858/- per month (taxable). UNDP also offers additional benefits which include medical insurance coverage and limited pension reimbursement for contract holder and encourages work life balance.
