Project Officers recruitment in Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) on Contract Basis
Mechanical/ 18 (UR-11, OBC-4, SC-2,ST-1)
Electrical/ 9 (UR-6, OBC-2, SC-1)
Electronics/ 2 (UR)
Civil/ 2 (UR)
Instrumentation /1 (UR)
Educational Qualification : Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Civil/ Instrumentation Engineering with 60% of marks from a recognized University.
Experience: Minimum of two years post qualification experience/ training in a Shipyard/ Port/ Marine Engineering Training Institute/Heavy Engineering Company. Proficiency and experience of working in a computerized environment would be advantageous.
Information Technology /2 (UR)
Engineering Degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology or Masters Degree in Computer Science/ Computer Application/ Information Technology with 60% of marks from a recognized University.
Experience : Minimum of two years post qualification experience in Shipyard/ Port/ Marine Engineering Training Institute/Heavy Engineering Company/Government/ Public Sector Undertakings/Private Sector Companies/Banks/ Autonomous Bodies in one or more of the following areas: a) Windows Server Administration b) LINUX/ UNIX c) Java d) Internet & Web Technologies e) ABAP f) Network Administration g) ERP/SAP.
Information Technology (SAP) /2 (UR)
Engineering Degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology or Masters Degree in Computer Science/ Computer Application/ Information Technology with 60% of marks from a recognized University.
Experience: Minimum of two years post qualification experience/ training in SAP HCM & EP modules in a Shipyard/ Port/ Marine Engineering Training Institute/Heavy Engineering Company/ Government/ Public Sector Undertakings/ Banks/ Private Sector Companies/ Autonomous Bodies.
Period of Contract: The period of contract will be for two years and may be considered for a further term based on organizational/project requirements and job performance.
Remuneration: For the post of Project Officers on contract basis, monthly consolidated pay of Rs.22,000/- pm during first year and Rs.22,500/- pm during second year and compensation for extra hours of work limited to Rs.3,000/-pm.
Age: Age shall not exceed 30 years as on 28 February 2017
Method of Selection: Through a Personal Interview to be held at Cochin Shipyard Limited, Kochi.
Qualification :(i) Those applicants having qualifications equivalent to any of the prescribed qualifications should possess Equivalency Certificate issued by the competent authority and without such certificate, their candidature will not be considered. (ii) The minimum qualification stipulated for all the posts must be from a University/ Institute recognized by AICTE/ appropriate statutory authority in India/ State/ Central Government and should be regular/full time courses. (iii) Some Universities/Institutes do not award Class or Percentage of marks and allot Aggregate Grade Points (e.g. CGPA/OGPA/CPI, etc.). In case University/Institute defines criteria for conversion of Aggregate Grade Point into Class and/or percentage of marks, the same will be accepted. However, where the University/ Institute does not define criteria for conversion of Aggregate Grade Point into Class and/or percentage of marks, the Aggregate Grade Points may be multiplied by 10 to get the required percentage of marks. (iv) In case of SC/ST candidates, those who have secured 55% marks and above in the qualifying examination will also be considered, provided they satisfy all other requirements. c) Experience (i) Post-qualification experience will only be considered. Period of experience will be reckoned as on 28 February 2017.

(ii) Applicants belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Scheduled Tribe (ST) / Person with Disability (PWD) need not pay application fee. They are exempted from payment of application fee.
