Job title: Project Post-Doctoral Fellow
Research title: Thermal Infrared Technologies for Supporting Environmental Assessment and Decision Making in the Ganges Basin
Selection criteria: Researchers applying for the post should have obtained a doctorate in Civil Engineering/ Atmospheric Sciences/Physics/Climate Sciences /Environmental Sciences/Atmospheric physics or a related quantitative field from a reputed university/institute and an excellent track record and publications/patents in a research area relevant to the sponsored project. Application must possess a strong background in atmospheric modeling.
Additional experience in handling large set of data, field experiment environmental sensing/measurement is important. He/she must have the ability to work collaboratively yet independently. Must have strong computing skills and familiar with atmospheric models (WRF and WRF-CHEM). He/she will get the opportunity to work in a conducive environment and can avail the hostel/family accommodation facility at IITK as per Institute norms.
For Rs. 55000 and Rs. 60000 salary, a minimum of one the two years experience, respectively is also required.
