Project Scientific Assistant- B Chemistry recruitment in Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education, (TIFR), Mumbai
1. Chemistry Education Cell – The cell works in the field of chemistry education at school and undergraduate level and training of students for International Chemistry Olympiad.
Qualification & Experience: The candidates should have a B.Sc. Degree in chemistry with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA and one year experience in similar capacity in the field of chemistry. Or
B.Sc. Degree in chemistry with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA and M.Sc. Degree in Chemistry.
Note: Candidates with degrees in Applied Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry will also be considered. Desirable: Proficiency in English and a regional language with good reading and writing skills. Experience in preparing technical reports and material in print and web form. The candidate should have proficiency in computer skills and documentation and should be able to work independently in a chemistry laboratory.
2. Vigyan Pratibha – The project aims at nurturing scientific and mathematics aptitude among school students of Class 8-10.
Qualification and Experience: The candidates should have a B.Sc. Degree in Chemistry/ Applied Chemistry/ Industrial Chemistry/ Environmental Science/ Geography/ Geology with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA and one year experience in similar capacity in the relevant field. Or
The candidates should have a B.Sc. Degree in Chemistry/ Applied Chemistry/ Industrial Chemistry/ Environmental Science/ Geography/ Geology with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA and M.Sc. Degree in any of these disciplines.
Desirable: Proficiency in English and a regional language with good reading and writing skills. The candidate should have proficiency in computer skills, documentation, and social media. The candidate should be able to work independently, should be willing to travel to even remote areas of the country and contribute to teachers and students’ camps in different capacities. Experience in the field of preparation of technical reports and material in print and web form. The position is purely temporary, for one year in the first instance and extendable by one or two more years based on the performance of the candidate.
Pay Scale: A consolidated monthly honorarium of Rs. 44,000/- (inclusive of HRA Rs. 7,600/-) will be paid.
Age: Below 28 years.
