Project Scientist/ Project Research Associate/Project Technician recruitment in National Institute of Virology purely on temporary contract basis

1. Project Scientist B [Medical] /01-UR

Qualification: MBBS Degree with one year Research/Teaching experience OR MD in Microbiology/Pathology/PSM

Desirable:1. Diploma in Public Health 2. Experience in Project Management.

Age: 35 Years

Pay Scale: Rs.61,000/- + HRA

2. Project Scientist B [NonMedical]/ 01-UR

Qualification: First Class Master’s Degree in Life Sciences with two years experience in related field. OR Second Class Master’s Degree with Ph.D in relevant subject. OR BDS/B.V.Sc. degree with one year experience.

Desirable: 1. Doctorate Degree in Life Sciences (Biochemistry / Microbiology / Biotechnology / Virology) 2. Additional Post Doctoral Research/ teaching experience in relevant subjects.

Age: 35 Years

Pay Scale: Rs.48,000/- + HRA

3. Project Research Associate – I/ 02-UR

Qualification: Ph.D. in Life Sciences

Desirable: 1. Experience in cell culture and related techniques 2. Hands-on experience with molecular biology techniques including cloning, expression, real time PCR, generation of phage display library

Age: 40 Years [02 Years relaxation for women candidates]

Pay Scale: Rs.36,000/- + HRA

4. Project Technical Assistant /04 (02-OBC, 02-UR)

Qualification: Graduate (three years degree) in Life Science subjects with three years work experience or Master’s degree in the above subjects.

Desirable: 1. Laboratory experience in Molecular Biology/Tissue culture techniques/Bioinformatics, Virological techniques, Serology, handling infectious agents and fieldwork. 2. Knowledge of computer applications and data management.

Age: 30 Years

Pay Scale: Rs. 31,000/-

5. Project Technician III /02-UR

Qualification: (1) 12th pass in Science subjects and (2) Two years diploma in Medical Laboratory Technician or related subject or One year DMLT plus one year experience or Two years field/laboratory experience* * B.Sc. degree shall be treated as 3 years experience

Desirable: (1) B.Sc. Microbiology/ Biotechnology/MLT (2) Work experience in diagnostic laboratory/Cell culture/ ELISA/PCR/ sequencing (3) Knowledge of computer application/ report preparation

Pay Scale:Rs.18,000/-

Age: 30 Years

6. Project Technician-I /02-UR

Qualification: 1. Matriculation 2. One year Certificate in the required discipline OR 3. One year Lab/Field/Clinical experience (12th with Science subjects shall be treated as 02 years experience)

Desirable: 1. 10 + 2 in Science. 2. Experience in Research Laboratory / field /handling blood samples, performing serological assays. 3. DMLT 4. Knowledge of computer applications

Pay Scale:Rs. 16,000/-

Age: 25 Years

7. Project Technician-III [for Mumbai Unit of NIV]/ Same as per the post at Sr. No.05 /01-UR
