Project Scientist / Research Associate/ JRF  job recruitment in National Agri-Food Biotechnology Institute (NABI)

Project Scientist (Project Grant GAP-02) 

No. of Post  :  01

Area :  Plant Metabolic Engineering, Molecular Biology, Genome Editing and Bioinformatics.

Qualification  :  Ph.D. thesis submitted/awarded in any branch of life/ Bioinformatics/ plant sciences.

Desirable :  a) Excellent academic record with research experience in area relevant to plant metabolic engineering, molecular biology and bioinformatics supported with high quality publications. b) Knowledge and experience of in-silico analysis such as transcriptomics, proteomics and genomics. c) Relevant research publications in reputed international journals with high impact factors.

Remunerations :  Rs. 55,000/- per month plus HRA. Leave and other benefits as per NABI rule.

Age Limit :  35 years as on date of interview (Relaxation is admissible in case of SC/ST/OBC/PD as per GOI instructions)

Research Associate-III (Core Grant)

Qualification  :  1. Ph.D. in computational biology, bioinformatics, statistics, computer science, applied mathematics, biotechnology or a related scientific/technical disciplines or M.Tech in above related area with at least 3 years of research experience and at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) Journal. 2. Skills in manipulating and analyzing large datasets and proficiency in programming (C++/C, Java, Perl/Python, R,SQL) and machine learning

Desirable :  1. Research experience in area of computational genomics or next generation sequencing analyses as revealed by at least one publication as first-author 2. Knowledge in statistical methods in the context of biological systems

Emoluments : Rs. 54000/- per month plus HRA. (As per DST OM No. SR/s9/Z-08/2018 dated 30.01.2019)

Age Limit : 40 years (Relaxation is admissible in case of SC/ST/OBC/PD as per GOI instructions)

Research Associate-I (Project Grant GAP-32)

Project Title :  “Developing sheath blight tolerance in rice using Genome editing”

Qualification  :  Ph.D in plant biotechnology/agriculture biotechnology/plant breeding and genetics or equivalent degree in related subject.

Desired Experience :   Experience in plant or agricultural biotechnology, plant tissue culture, rice or any other crop plant transformation, genome editing, genomics/bioinformatics.

Emoluments :  Rs. 47000/- per month plus 8% HRA. (As per DST OM No. SR/s9/Z-08/2018 dated 30.01.2019)

Age Limit :  40 Years as on date of interview. (Relaxation is admissible in case of SC/ST/OBC/PD as per GOI Instructions)

Junior Research Fellow (Project Grant GAP-32)

Project Title : “Developing sheath blight tolerance in rice using Genome editing”

Qualifications :  Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science OR Graduate /Post Graduate Degree in professional course selected through a process described through any one of the following:- Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests-CSIR-UGC-NET including Lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE The selection process through National Level examinations conducted by central government departments and their agencies and institutions such as DST,DBT,DAE,DOS,DRDO,MHRD,ICAR,ICMR,IIT,IISc,IISER etc.

Desired Experience : Experience in plant or agricultural biotechnology, plant tissue culture, rice or any other crop plant transformation, genome editing, genomics/bioinformatics.

Emoluments : JRF (1st & 2nd Year): 31,000/- PM Plus 8% HRA from 3rd Year 35,000/- PM Plus 8% HRA
