Project Technician recruitment in IIT Kanpur

Applications are invited for one post of Project Technician in a IITK-Space Technology Cell sponsored project entitled, "Brazing of Ultra High Temperature HfB2-ZrB2 Based Ceramics" in the Department of Materials Sciences & Engineering, IIT Kanpur.

Minimum Qualification: (BSc. + 4 years of relevant experience) OR (3 years Engg. Diploma + 4 years of relevant experience) OR (High School + ITI + 9 years of relevant experience)

Work Experience:The applicant should have a strong background and sound knowledge on sample handling, welding/brazing, operating furnace, and sintering/joining of materials. The person is also expected to be familiar with basic material processing and microstructural- & phase- characterization tools. Person must be acquainted with sample sectioning, mounting and polishing, and gold-coating. Working knowledge of computer-based office applications (MS Office, power-point, excel/origin, etc.) is also desirable.

Salary: Rs. 14400-1200-36000
