Qualification : i Should possess a degree in Mechanical or Electrical or Production Engineering or a degree in Textiles or Sports Goods or Surgical Instruments or Paints and Varnish or Chemicals or Hosiery or Electronics or its equivalent from a recognized university or institution; AND Ii Should have an experience of working in the field of quality marking or industrial development in a Government Department or Public Sector Undertaking or in a Reputed Industry after obtaining the requisite degree for a minimum period of two years ; OR 2 (b) I Should possess a diploma in Mechanical or Electrical or Production Engineering or a diploma in Textiles or Sports Goods or Surgical Instruments or Paints and Varnish or Chemicals or Hosiery or Electronics or its equivalent from a recog nized university or institution; AND ii Should have an experience of working in the field of quality marking or industrial development in a Government Department or Public Sector undertaking or in a Reputed Industry after obtaining the requisite diploma f or a minimum period of five years.

About Company
The Joint Public Service Commission, the precursor of the Punjab Public Service Commission, with its writ running from the Khyber Pass to the Jamuna near Delhi, was born at Lahore on May 1,1937. In the wake of the Partition, the Punjab Public Service Commission resurged in February, 1948, at Shimla with its revised jurisdiction extending over the then province of East Punjab. Following the merger of the States of Punjab and Pepsu, it shifted to Patiala on Nov.1st,1956. On 1stNov1966, its territorial jurisdiction again decreased due to the formation of the States of Haryana and Himachal Pradesh.
