Research Associate/ Research Fellow/ Field Assistant Job vacancies in Punjab Remote Sensing Centre on purely contractual basis

Name of Division : Agro-ecosystems and Crop Modeling (ACM)

Research Associate

No. of Posts : 02

Qualifications : Doctoral degree in the relevant subject OR Masters degree (or equivalent*) in the relevant subjects from recognized and reputed institution/university with two years relevant experience as RF Relevant Subjects: Remote Sensing and GIS/GIST/Geoinformatics/Geography/Environmental Sciences/Forestry/Soils Science/Geosciences/Physics/Mathematics/Botany/Zoology/ Chemistry/Computer Sciences/IT/Computer Engineering/Civil Engineering/Soil & Water Engineering/Water Resources/Agronomy/ Statistics

Desirable : 1. Master’s degree alongwith PG Diploma in Geospatial Technologies (such as RS, GIS, GPS etc.) from recognized and well reputed institutions shall be given weightage. 2. Candidate with working experience in Remote Sensing /GIS applications in natural resource mapping will be given preference. 3. A proven record in writing project reports/scientific papers. 4. Proficiency in GIS and Image Processing Software’s (like Arc GIS and ERDAS Imagine etc.)

Salary : Rs.22,000/- per month + HRA

Qualifications & Pay : Students/recent pass outs of the following categories will be paid honorarium on hourly basis

(i) ITI Diploma Students @ Rs 43.00 per hour

(ii) Polytechnic Diploma Students @ Rs 50.00 per hour

(iii) BCA/B. Tech/BE Students @ Rs 58.00 per hour

(iv) MSc/MCA/M. Tech Students @ Rs 58.00 per hour *Recent pass outs (not more than 18 months from the date of declaration of results.
