Job Description

Applications are invited for the post of Chairman-cum-Managing Director in Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) at Patiala in HAG Scale of Rs.75500-80000 (unrevised) without Grade Pay.

1. Name of the Post: Chairman-cum-Managing Director

2. Salary: Rs.75500-80000 (unrevised) without Grade Pay.

3. Basic Qualification: Bachelors Degree of a recognized institution in Electrical/ Mechanical/ Electronics/ Computer Science/Civil/ECE/ Instrumentation Engineering/IT or a CA/ ICWA/MBA.

4. Experience: The person should have served for a minimum period of twenty-five (25) years in a Central or State Public Utility or Central Electricity Authority, and have an experience in the field of electricity generation or distribution for a period not less than ten years and has worked as Chief Engineer or Engineer-in-Chief, as the case may be, in a Power Utility Company or its equivalent, for a minimum period of two years, during the aforesaid period of twenty-five years.

5. Superannuation & Tenure: The tenure of CMD shall be as per the terms and conditions the appointment letter. Appointment shall be initially for a period of two years which can be further extended upto maximum tenure of five years. However, CMD shall not continue in service beyond the age of 65 years.

Age Limit:
Minimum age of 50 years at the time of appointment.
