Job Description
- Receiving of requisition /purchase indent from stores duly approved for purchase
- Selection of suppliers for issue of enquiries
- Issuing enquiries and obtaining quotations
- Analyzing quotations and preparation of comparative rate statement.
- consultation with the indenter for approval of material (Maintenance Deptt. for spare parts, Civil Deptt for QC material)
- Negotiation of rates and obtaining final approval
- Issue of purchase order
- Follow-up of purchase orders for delivery in due time
- Verification of supplier’s bills and forwarding to accounts Deptt.
- Correspondence and dealing with suppliers, carriers etc regarding shortage , rejections etc reported if any
- Maintenance of purchase record (site wise, vendor wise )
- Maintenance of vendor performance record/data
- Keeping various sites informed of the progress of their indents in case of delay in obtaining supplies.
- Serving as an information center on the materials knowledge i.e. their prices , source of supply ,specification and other allied matters
- Development of reliable and alternate source of supply.
- To submit DPR on daily basis
- Perform other duties as and when anticipated by management
- Location : - Nagpur.
- Experience:Purchasing: 3 years
