Job Description

Position:Purchase Officer

Designation:Purchase - Level - Sr. Purchase Officer / Jr. Purchase Officer

Qualification: Bachelor's degree in business administration or closely related field. MBA is a added advantage 

Location:Mangalore / Bangalore  

Experience: 2 to 5 years in relevant field  

Responsibility :

  • Prepare procurement schedule in line with project schedule
  • Identifying potential suppliers induct and maintaining good relationships with them;
  • Forecasting likely levels of demand for services and products to meet the business needs and keeping a constant check on stock levels to maximize business efficiency;
  • conducting research to ascertain the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules and quality;
  • Liaising with project team and supplier, accounts for timely supply and payment
  • Negotiating with suppliers for best rate, reduce cost
  • Processing payments and invoices;
  • Maintaining contract files and using them as reference for the future;
  • Forecasting price trends and their impact on future activities;
  • Preparing confidential information.
  • Establishing policy and process for purchase
  • Identifies alternative materials, best practices tools emerging in markets/ industries induct in construction
  • Visit trade fair or exhibition to identify new supplier/ materials/ technology to adopt in the system 
  • Skills:Good communication, good teamwork, adaptability, creativity, Ability to prioritorise tasks, Good organizational skills and administration qualities, active listening and learning, reading comprehension, coordination, judgment decision making, organization, time management, writing, service orientation, negotiation, and mathematics.
  • Knowledge:Exposure to MS office
  • Salary:Based on experience, not a limitation for right candidate
