The IBM Security Verify team is looking for an experienced QA/Test Developer to work closely with Developers to understand user experience, work flow, expected outcomes to develop and execute a testing approach. You will be responsible for driving testing to ensure the functionality, performance, reliability, stability and resiliency of our SaaS offering. Your Role and Responsibilities
- In agile development model, participate in small, autonomous but aligned teams to develop and execute test strategy, and deploy effective testing solutions.
- Evaluate the functional and non-functional requirements for test-ability, test cases and use cases for suitability for automation.
- Enable continuous deployment and availability by developing automated frameworks, processes and test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements.
- Build and manage testing environments, assisting in debugging application issues.
- Support triaging of production issues.
- Work collaboratively with other geographically dispersed teams
- Take part in an on-call rotation
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- 4+ years’ experience working in a test specialist, quality assurance role
- Demonstrated ability to write test cases & test plans while documenting results.
- Ability to meticulously plan and detail test executions and identifying dependencies.
- Expertise in QA testing including: functional, integration, end to end, smoke, performance and security testing.
- Experience with API testing and API automation.
- Experience working with test automation frameworks, and writing automated tests
- Experience using Linux and Windows operating systems
- Experience with common scripting languages (bash, Python, JavaScript, Perl, etc.)
- Experience using containerization tools, such as Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift.
- Experience working with CI/CD processes, DevOps methodologies and tools such as Git, Gradle, Jenkins, Ansible
- Strong ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions.
- Ability to meticulously plan and detail test executions and identifying dependencies.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal in English, with an ability to convey ideas to others
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Experience in software security/compliance would be a strong plus
- Experience with testing tools mocha and chai.
- Experience with synthetic testing and monitors.
- Experience with triaging bugs detected from code scanning and security scanning tools
- Degree in computer science, computer engineering strongly preferred
