Job Responsibilities

Manage entire staff of QC/QA including quality engineer/quality technicians.

Ensure a suitable back up is nominated and trained to cover quality engineer/quality technician absences.
Ensure every quality engineer/quality technician receives minimum one performance review annually.
Ensure quality engineer/quality technician issues are resolved in timely manner and to the satisfaction level in best given circumstances.
Ensure an adequate number of qualified personal is maintained.

Coordinate between necessary individuals and departments.

Ensure appropriate calibration of quality equipment.
Work with production management to apply pertinent quality procedures appropriate to the business objectives.
Remain informed of changing requirements in specified department field.
Issue manage supplier corrective action reports.
Keep senior management informed of significant developments identified during quality control activities.
Investigate record customer complaints regarding product performance, specifications and reliability.
Refine and develop the existing product warranty return policy for finished goods/products.
Work with Purchase/Stores department to integrate quality standards for core suppliers and where appropriate assess supplier capacity capability in order to ensure standard quality items for purchase items. Also support purchase department with annual quality reviews of key suppliers.
Ensure co-ordination communication between all departments of works (facility) falls under direct indirect supervision.
Ensure co-ordination between all departments of other relations.

Ensure the standard of all engineering practice and system are maintained.

Review and improve the existing quality data base.
Direct and coordinate the company quality program including implementation of ISO9001 system procedures.
Compile quality control reports, create statistical process control metrics, manage non confirmatory material discrepancy reports, recommend continuous improvement activities.
Prepare monthly summaries of quality issues for presentation to the senior management team includes discussion on the subject at board room.
Ensure all activities and procedures specified in the engineering procedures manuals are developed, organized, implemented and supervised effectively.
Work with Design department on new component introduction, alternative raw materials, tooling requirements, test plans and product qualification requirements.
Design implement quality plans for all parts to be integrated into CAD drawings.
Ensure administrative policies procedures are established and maintained.
Carries out other special projects / tasks assigned by the management (General Manager, Chief Executive officer, Chairman managing director and executive director).
