Job Description
RA/JRF/SRF Civil Engg. recruitment at IIT Kanpur purely temporary and on contractual basis.
Project Title: “An experimental and numerical assessment of Indian crushable sands under cyclic loading” no: CSIR/CE/2017169
Minimum Qualification: For Research Associate (RA) post doctorate (PhD) or equivalent degree in Civil engineering or having 3 years of research, teaching and design and development experience after ME/MTech in Geotechnical Engineering. If a suitable candidate is not found for RA post, appointment may be considered at the level of JRF or SRF. JRF post requires B.Tech (Civil Engineering) or equivalent degree with 55% marks and passing of GATE test. SRF post requires B.Tech (Civil Engineering) and at least 2 years of post-B.Tech research experience as evidenced from standard journal publications or M.Tech or equivalent degree in Geotechnical Engineering.
Desirable Qualification: Candidate with background in soil mechanics, with experience in programing (MATLAB), constitutive model development, and numerical analysis will be preferred.
