Applications are invited on prescribed Performa from Indian citizen for appointment on following posts
1. Name of the Post: Radiation Safety Officer
2. Essential Qualification
a. M.Sc.(Physics) with Ph.D in Physics
b. One year Training course in Radiological/Medical Physics conducted by recognized university. This course should be recognized by AERB.
c. 5 Year experience as Physicist in Radiotherapy Department in a Hospital/Cancer Centre.
3. Desirable:
a. Preference will be given to candidates having teaching experience in a Medical College.
b. Experience of Working in a Nuclear Medicine Section.
4. Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100+GP Rs. 7600(Pre-revised), L-12, Basic Rs.78,800/-(Revised)
5. No. of post:- 01 Post.
6. Reservation: EBC-01
7. Age relaxation as per Govt. of Bihar Rule, i.e 05 years for SC/ST. 03 years for EBC / BC and 03 years for all categories of Female Candidates Benefits of reservation, age relaxation will be given to Bihar State domicile only and the applicants out-side the State of Bihar will not be entitled for the benefits of reservation. Handicapped candidates will be given the benefits of reservation and relaxation as per rule of Govt. of Bihar).Government Servant shall be given relaxation in age as per Govt. Rule.

IGIMS was established on 19th November 1983, as an autonomous organisation on the pattern of All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. The objective was to provide super specialty medical facilities in Bihar. On 27th January 1983 Cabinet approved the completion of this massive project in 4 phases within a span of six (6) years. According to the decision of State Government, 130.20 Acres of land was transferred to IGIMS.
