Stipendiary Trainee Category-I (Physics)/No. of Post : 01 - Reserved for Visually Handicapped (VH)
Qualification : Minimum 60% marks in B.Sc. (Physics as principal and Mathematics/Chemistry/ Statistics/Electronics/Computer Science as subsidiary subjects)

Stipendiary Trainee Category-I (Electronics & Instrumentation)/No. of Post : 01 - Reserved for Hearing Handicapped (HH)
Qualification required : Diploma / Licentiate in Electronics/ Instrumentation Engineering (Three years after SSC or Two years after HSC) with minimum 60% marks.
Stipend : First Year - Rs. 9300 per month, Second Year - Rs.10500 per month plus one time book allowance of Rs.1,500/-.
Method of Selection / Recruitment: Written Test (objective type) & Interview.

Technician/B (Air Conditioning) / No. of post 01 - Reserved for Hearing Handicapped (HH)
Qualification : HSC or SSC passed with minimum 60% marks with Science and maths plus trade certificate of one year duration in Air conditioning. Desired Experience 2 Years duration in erection/maintenance of HVAC installations.
Pay Scale : Rs. 5200-20200 with Grade Pay ` 2000/- plus other allowances as admissible

Qualification : HSC or SSC passed with minimum 60% marks with Science and Maths plus trade certificate of one year duration in Plumbing trade. Desired Experience 2 years in construction field.
Pay Scale : Rs. 5200-20200 with Grade Pay ` 2000/- plus other allowances as admissible
Method of Selection / Recruitment : Trade Test & Interview
Age limit as on last date of receipt of applications: Minimum 18 years.
Scope of Training : Selected candidates will be given two years training in the Centre in various aspects of relevant Trades/ Disciplines, as per prescribed syllabi of each Trade/ Discipline and for meeting the stringent requirements of this Centre. The candidates will not have choice/option for any particular training programme/ training place/ final placement. The candidates may be required to work in round-the-clock shifts, including night shift, during the period of training.
Execution of Bond : Selected candidates will have to execute a bond to complete the training and serve RRCAT, Indore or any of the Constituent Units of Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), if offered appointment after the training, for a period of 3 years after such appointment. A trainee who fails to complete the training or serve the Government for 3 years, if offered appointment, will be liable to pay to the Government a sum equivalent to entire aggregate amount of stipend received by him/her during the period of training along with interest thereon as per Government Rules

Raja Ramanna Centre for Advanced Technology (RRCAT), was established by the Department of Atomic Energy, India to expand the activities carried out at BARC, Mumbai, in two frontline areas of science and technology namely Lasers and Accelerators. On February 19, 1984 the President of India, Gyani Zail Singh, aid the foundation stone of the centre. Construction of laboratories and houses began in May 1984.
