Qualifications : (i)
Master’s Degree with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of ‘B’
in the UGC 7 point scale. (ii) At least 15 years of experience as Assistant
Professor in the AGP of Rs. 7000 and above or with 8 years’ of service in the
AGP of Rs. 8000 and above including as Associate Professor along with
experience in educational administration or (iii) Comparable experience in
research establishment and/or other institutions of higher education, or (iv)
The candidate must have 15 years of administrative experience out of which 8
years shall be as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post i.e. in the pay scale
of Rs. 15600-39100 with Grade Pay of Rs. 7600/- (Unrevised) or above.

2. Dean College Development Council
No. of Post : 01
Qualifications : A. (i) An eminent scholar with Ph.D qualification(s) and
published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of
published work with a minimum of 10 publications as book and/ or research/
policy papers. 5 (ii) A minimum of ten years of teaching experience in
university/ college, and/or experience in research at the University/National
level institutions/ industries, including experience of guiding candidates for
research at doctoral level. (iii) Contribution to educational innovation,
design of new curricula and courses, and technology mediated teaching learning
process. (iv) A minimum score of 400 points in the Academic Performance
Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), as set out in
UGC Regulation 2010 (3rd and 4th amendments 2016 vide UGC Notification No.
F.1-2/2016(PS/Amendment) dated 04-05-2016 and 11-07-2016 respectively). OR B.

3. Professor

Qualifications : A. (i) An eminent scholar with Good Academic record with a Ph.D. degree in the concerned
/allied/relevant discipline and published work of high quality, actively engaged in
research with evidence of published work with a minimum of 10 publications as books
and/or research/policy papers.
(ii) Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture and first class Master’s Degree in
concerned/allied/relevant subject (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever
grading system is followed).
(iii) A minimum of ten years of experience of teaching and/or research in an
academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University,
National level Institutions/ Industry, including experience of having guided candidates
for research at doctoral level.
(iv) Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and
technology – mediated teaching learning process.
(v) A minimum score of 400 points in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based
Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), as set out in UGC Regulation 2010 (3rd
and 4th amendments 2016 vide UGC Notification No. F.1-2/2016(PS/Amendment) dated
04-05-2016 and 11-07-2016 respectively).

4. Associate Professor
No. of Posts : 11
Qualifications : i. Good academic record with a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/ allied/ relevant
disciplines.
ii. Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline and first class Master’s Degree in
concerned/allied/relevant subject (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever
grading system is followed).
iii. A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and/or research in an
academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University,
College or Accredited Research Institution/industry excluding the period of Ph.D.
research with evidence of published work and a minimum of 5 publications as books
and/or research/policy papers.
iv. Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and
technology – mediated teaching learning process with evidence of having guided
doctoral candidates and research students.
v. A minimum score of 300 points in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based
Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), as set out in UGC Regulations (3rd and
4
th amendments 2016 vide UGC Notification No. F.1-2/2016(PS/Amendment) dated
04-05-2016 and 11-07-2016 respectively).
vi. Candidates must be registered with Council of Architecture.

5. Assistant Professor
No. of Posts : 20
Qualifications : i. Good academic record as defined by the Guru Nanak Dev University with;
a) B.Sc. Agriculture
b) Master’s Degree in the relevant discipline with at least 55% marks (or an
equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) from an
Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign
university.
ii. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have qualified National
Eligibility Test (NET) in the relevant discipline conducted by ASRB/UGC/CSIR.
iii. Candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the
University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of
Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or the subsequent Regulations if notified by the
UGC, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of
NET conducted by ASRB/UGC/CSIR for recruitment and appointment of Assistant
Professor or equivalent positions in Universities / Colleges /Institutions.
Provided further, the award of degree to candidates registered for the M.Phil./Ph.D.
programme prior to July 11,2009, shall be governed by the provisions of the then
existing Ordinances/ Bylaws/ Regulations of the Institutions awarding the degree and
the Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of NET conducted by
ASRB/UGC/CSIR for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or
equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions subject to the fulfillment of
the following conditions:-
a) Ph.D. degree of the candidate awarded in regular mode only;
b) Evaluation of the Ph.D. thesis by at least two external examiners;
c) Open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate had been conducted; d) Candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work
out of which at least one must be in a refereed journal;
e) Candidate has made at least two presentations in conferences/ seminars,
based on his/her Ph.D. work.
(a) to (e) as above are to be certified by the Vice-Chancellor/Pro-ViceChancellor/Dean(AcademicAffairs)/Dean(University instructions) of the degree
awarding university.
iv. A relaxation of 5% may be provided at the graduate and Masters level for the
Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Differently-abled (physically and visually
differently-abled) /Other Backward Classes (OBC) (Non-creamy layer) categories for
the purpose of eligibility and for assessing good academic records during direct
recruitment to teaching positions. The eligibility marks of 55% marks (or an equivalent
grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and the relaxation of 5% to
the categories mentioned above are permissible, based on only the qualifying marks
without including any grace mark procedures.
v. A relaxation of 5% is admissible, from 55% to 50% of the marks to the Ph.D. Degree
holders, who have obtained their Master’s Degree prior to 19 September, 1991.
vi. Good academic record means atleast 2nd class with 50% marks in graduation level.

6. Director Youth Welfare

Qualifications : 1. At least 2nd Class Master's degree of a recognized Indian University or
equivalent.
2. At least five years experience of teaching/organizing youth welfare activities.
3. Aptitude and experience of organizing literary and cultural functions, youth
festivals, youth leadership camps, seminars, discussions, other youth
programmes etc.
Note: Retired persons below the age of 65 years can also be considered for
contractual appointment

7. Deputy Director Physical Education (Campus)
No. of Post : 01
Qualifications : (1) A Ph.D. in Physical Education. Candidates from outside the university system,
in addition, shall also possess at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a
point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree level
by the university concerned.
(2) Eight years experience as University Assistant DPES/ College DPES, with a
benefit of two years and one year for Ph.D. and M.Phil. Degree holders.
(3) Evidence of organizing competitions and conducting coaching camps of at least
two weeks duration.
(4) Evidence of having produced good performance teams/athletes for
competitions like state/national/inter-university/ Combined university etc.
(5) Passed the physical fitness test in accordance with these Regulations.
(6) Consistently good appraisal reports.
(7) A minimum score of 300 points in the Academic Performance Indicator (API)
based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), as set out in UGC
Regulations (3rd and 4th amendments 2016 vide UGC Notification No. F.1-
2/2016(PS/Amendment) dated 04-05-2016 and 11-07-2016 respectively).

8. Medical Officer
No. of Posts : 02
Qualifications : i) MBBS.
ii) The candidate should be registered with National Council of India or MCI or
State Council. In case of a candidate holding Foreign Degree i.e. from outside
India, he/she must attach Equivalency Certificate issued by the MCI, otherwise
his/her candidature will not be considered.
iii) Knowledge of Punjabi up to Matric standard is essential.
iv) Preference will be given to the candidates holding postgraduate degree with
specialization in Medicine or allied subjects.
Pay Scale : Rs. 15600- 39100+5400GP+ 25% NPA
9. Clerk-cum-Junior Data Entry Operators

Qualifications : i. BCA/B.Sc. (IT)/B.Sc. (Computer Science) from a recognized university/institute
with atleast 50% marks.
or
Graduation with computer science as an elective subject from a recognized
university/institute with atleast 50% marks.
or
Graduation from a recognized university/institute with atleast 50% marks and
PGDCA from GNDU or equivalent thereto.
or
B.Tech./BE in any stream with computers science subject from a recognized
university/institute with atleast 50% marks.
or
Master’s degree in computer science/computer application/IT from a recognized
university/institute with atleast 50% marks.
ii. Must have passed Punjabi subject upto Matric Standard.
Pay Scale : Rs.10300- 34800+3200 GP
Application Fees : Application fees for posts at Sr. no. 1 to 8
will be Rs. 1180/-(including GST) (Rs. 590/-(including GST) for SC/ST & PWD
candidates) and for post at Sr. no. 9 Rs. 944/-(including GST) (Rs.
472/-(including GST) for SC/ST & PWD candidates). The SC/ST and PWD
candidates who are not domicile of the State of Punjab shall have to pay the
application fee of Rs. 1180/- (including GST) for posts at Sr. No. 1 to 8 and
Rs. 944/- (including GST) for post at Sr. No. 9.
