Registrar/Public Relation Officer job Position in Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU)
1. Registrar * Administration Division (on tenure basis)/ UR -01
Essential : a) Master’s Degree with at least 55% of the marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed.
b) At least 15 years of experience as Assistant Professor in the Academic Level 11 and above or with 8 years of service in the Academic Level 12 and above including as Associate Professor along with experience in educational administration, OR
c) Comparable experience in research establishment and/or other Institutions of higher education, OR d) 15 years of administrative experience of which 8 years shall be as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post.
Pay Scale: PB-4 : 37400-67000 with GP-10000/- (PR) revised to Level-14 of 7th CPC

2. 8 years experience in Public Relations Works in the scale of pay not less than Rs.15600-39100 (PB-3, GP-5400) preferably in University or Institutions of Higher Education, including relations with the press and electronic Media, Preparation publicity material etc.
Desirable: Preference will be given to candidates with experience in distance education institutions.
Pay Scale: PB-3 : Rs.15600-39100 with GP-7600/- (PR) revised to Level-12 of 7th CPC
Age Limit: 52yrs
2. Public Relation Officer (PRO) (under direct recruitment) /UR -01
Essential : 1. A post-graduate degree from a recognized University with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade, preferably in Journalism.
2. 8 years experience in Public Relations Works in the scale of pay not less than Rs.15600-39100 (PB-3, GP-5400) preferably in University or Institutions of Higher Education, including relations with the press and electronic Media, Preparation publicity material etc.
