Research Assistant/ Field Worker job opportunities in Regional Medical Research Centre (ICMR) on contract basis

Title of the Project : Prevalence of vitamin A deficiency disorders among children aged 1-5 years in selected districts of India- Odisha (Duration-2 year)

Research Assistant (RA)

No. of Post : 1 (OBC)

Qualification : B.Sc. in biological sciences from a recognized university with three years working experience in the health related projects from recognized Institution or M.Sc. in Life Science Nutrition/Anthropology/MPH

Desirable : Working experience with community health-related projects and knowledge of computer application. Required to be involved in field activities, home visit on nutritional aspects

Salary : Rs. 31,000/-P.M

Age Limit : 30 years

Field Worker (Project Technician - III)

No. of Posts : 5 (UR-3, OBC-1, ST-1)

Qualification : 12th pass in science Subjects and two years field experience in government recognized organization/B. Sc

Desirable : Working Experience in healthrelated projects and knowledge of computer applications

Salary : Rs. 18,000/-P.M

Age Limit : 30 years

Title of the Project : “Development of district level model to address under nutrition and hidden hunger: an inter-sectoral approach”(Duration 6 month)

Research Assistant (RA)

The Regional Medical Research Centre (ICMR), Bhubaneswar is a permanent research centre of Indian Council of Medical Research. The foundation stone of the centre was laid by the then prime minister of India Late Mrs. Indira Gandhi on 29th March 1981.Initially the Center started in a small rental accommodation in 1982 and shifted to the Centre’s own building in year 1990 after completion. The campus of RMRC is located in 20 acres of picturesque landscape in Chandrasekharpur and has its own laboratory –cum- administrative building, animal house, auditorium, guest house & research scholars’ hostel and staff quarters. The concept of Regional Medical Research Centre was evolved during 6th five year plan period in 1980. Under this scheme six RMRCs were set up in different parts of the country. The thrust areas of research and linkages for RMRC, Bhubaneswar have been outlined in the project committee report of ICMR in 1981 under the chairmanship of Prof V Ramalingaswamy and subsequently in the high powered committee report of 1995.
