Research Associate job recruitment in Indian Institute Of Technology Delhi on contract basis
Title of the Project : Development of metagenomics assisted Surveillance tools for tracking antibiotic resistance in river bodies (Nanolog) (RP03711G)

Qualification : Ph.D. in molecular biology, bioinformatics, computational biology or any related area. Should know different computational analyses with focus on the sequencing data. Performing quality control, metagenomic genome assembly, annotation, related to antimicrobial resistance genes and mobile elements (plasmids and transposons). Should know existing state-of-the-art methodology and AMR databases. Should speak English fluently and have proven writing ability. Should be fluent in programming with “Python” and comfortable with performing analyses on a Linux-based operating system through the command line (“shell, bash”). Should be interested in learning a work-flow management system such as “Snakemake” or “Nextflow”. Should know basics of database and web tool management.
Fellowship : Rs.47,000-49,000-54,000/- p.m. plus HRA @ 24%
