Research Associate-I Chemistry recruitment in IACS

Project entitled: 'Halogen Bonding (XB) versus Hydrogen Bonding (HB) in Anion Recognition and Sensing'

Research Area:
Inorganic and Supramolecular Chemistry

Essential Qualifications :
A candidate should have a first class or a high second class B.Sc. & M.Sc. degrees in Chemistry with minimum average marks of 55% and has obtained Ph.D. The candidate should have a Ph.D. degree in chemistry and research experience supported by publications in peer-reviewed journals in the field of synthetic inorganic chemistry, molecular recognition and sensing. Preference will be given for candidates with research experience in various supramolecular systems and newer interactions, usual product characterization techniques including spectroscopy, X-ray crystallography, isothermal titration calorimetry etc.

Fellowship: As per SERB rules.

Age limit: As per SERB rule. Age relaxation is applicable as per SERB rule.

A selected candidate holding a Ph.D. degree at the time of joining will receive the fellowship of the RA-I position from the date of joining.

Tenure of Fellowship: 1 year from the date of joining as RA-I, which may be extended for one more year or project completion date whichever is earlier based on performance to be reviewed by progress monitoring committee.
