Research Associate/01 Post

Essential Qualification: Ph.D. with first class Master Degree in Environmental Sciences/Forestry/Botany from recognized University.

Desirable Qualification: Preference will be given to the candidates having experience in vegetation ecology and medicinal plants in the Himalayan region.


Nature of duties / Project:  UNDP - SECURE Himalaya project 'Documentation and Assessment of the Impact of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants in Landscapes of Secure Himalaya Project in Selected Site of Jammu & Kashmir”

Field Biologist / Surveyor/01 Post

Essential Qualification: First Class in M.Sc. with Botany/Forestry/Environmental Science/Bioscience from recognized University.

Desirable Qualification: Preference will be given to the candidates having experience in the survey and sampling of the vegetation including medicinal plants.

Essential Qualification: First Class in M.Sc. with Botany/Forestry/Environmental Science from a recognized University and two years research experience

Desirable Qualification: Preference will be given to the candidate having at least two years research experience on Biodiversity Conservation, documentation skills and computer knowledge.


Nature of duties / Project:  DBT funded project “Identification of elite planting material of selected temperate medicinal herbs, mass multiplication, field demonstration and post harvest processing”

Emoluments: 

  1. Research Associate, Rs. 36,000/- + Rs. 1,800/- HRA or 8% HRA fixed; 
  2. Field Biologist/Surveyor, Rs. 25,000/- + Rs. 1,800/- HRA or 8% HRA fixed; 
  3. Senior Project Fellow, Rs 18,000 + Rs. 1,800/- HRA or 8% HRA fixed; 
  4. Junior Research Fellow, Rs. 25,000 + 8% HRA 
  5. (NET - JRF qualified)/Junior Project Fellows, Rs. 16,000/- + Rs. 1,800/- HRA or 8% HRA or Junior Project Fellows, Rs. 16,000/- fixed.
