Technician recruitment in Indian Agricultural Research Institute
Project on: “Improving chickpea adaptation to environmental challenges in Australia and India”
Research Associate /1 Post
Essential: Ph.D. Plant Breeding/ Genetics and Plant Breeding/ Life Sciences (Plant) / Biotechnology /Botany/ Agricultural Biotechnology Or M.Sc. degree in Plant Breeding/ Genetics and Plant Breeding/ Life Sciences (Plant - specialization in Plant Sciences as evidenced by dissertation) /Biotechnology (specialization in Plant Sciences as evidenced by dissertation)/Botany/Agricultural Biotechnology/ M. Tech. (Biotechnology specialization in Plant Sciences as evidenced by dissertation) with 4 or 5 years Bachelor’s degree with 1st Division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average AND three or more years’ research experience. Those with 3 years bachelor’s degree must have UGC/CSIR/ICAR NET qualification or equivalent AND three or more years’ research experience. Master’s degree in Genetics/Plant Breeding/ Genetics and Plant Breeding/Biotechnology/ Seed Science and Technology/Life Science with 4/5 years bachelor’s degree. Those with 3 years bachelor’s degree must have UGC/CSIR/ICAR NET qualification or equivalent or Ph.D. in any of above disciplines (As per ICAR memorandum F. No. Agri. Edn./6/27/2014/HRD Dated 13.07.2015 and F. No. Agri. Edn./6/27/2014/HRD Dated 09.10.2015) Desirable: a) Experience in application of molecular techniques in as evidenced by research papers in peer reviewed journals. b) Ability to run molecular mapping software
Field Technician/1 Post
Essential: 12th or equivalent pass Desirable: Experience in field and lab work related to agricultural research as evidenced by experience certificate of at least two years. Experience in crossing programme in crops preferably in chickpea or pulses (certificate of the same from the respective breeder).
Age limit: Maximum age is 40years for RA and 30 years for field technician
