Job Description
Research Associate - I Earth sciences recruitment in Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur (IIT Kanpur)
Eligibility: The candidate must have a fresh PhD degree in Earth sciences (preferably Structural Geology, Rock Mechanics or Solid Earth Geophysics) / Material Sciences / Mechanical Engineering / Civil Engineering and working experience in experimental laboratories. The general research specialization of the candidate should be mechanics of materials, rheology, quantitative microstructure and texture analysis. The research experience should be evident from the peer-reviewed publications of the candidate. Handling experience of SEM, TEM, FTIR, EPMA etc. are desirable. Skills like, a high proficiency in written and spoken English, MATLAB are advantageous.
Salary: Rs. 36000
