Research Associate-I Physics recruitment in IACS
Department : Theoretical Physics, IACS
Research Area : Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics and Statistical Physics .Department : Theoretical Physics.
Essential Qualifications : A candidate should have a first class or a high second class B.Sc. & M.Sc. degrees in Physics with minimum average marks of 55% and has obtained Ph.D. or due to submit thesis within three months with research experience supported by publications in peer-reviewed journals in the field of Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics and Statistical Physics. A candidate who is expected to submit his/her Ph.D. thesis within three months from the deadline for this application mentioned above may also apply while submitting a separate declaration letter given by the supervisor mentioning the above three-month time-limit. This has to be submitted by the candidate along with his/her application.
Desirable Qualifications : Previous experience in implementing Monte Carlo algorithms for many-body systems is highly desirable.

Fellowship: As per rules of IACS.
i) A selected candidate holding a Ph.D. degree at the time of joining will receive the fellowship of the RA-I position from the date of joining.
ii) A selected candidate who is yet to receive Ph.D. degree may join only after the submission of his/her thesis within the time-limit mentioned earlier subject to documentary proof of the thesis submission. Such candidates will draw a fellowship amount as appropriate to a bridge fellowship as per the rules of IACS and will be eligible to receive the full RA-I fellowship from the award date of the doctoral degree, supported by documentary proof.
Tenure of Fellowship: 2 years from the date of joining as RA-I / Bridge fellow, subject to an evaluation after one year as per the rules of the Institute.
