Job Description
The National Centre for Cell Science (NCCS) is an autonomous institution of Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, for a mandate of basic research, teaching & training, and as a national repository for cell lines/hybridomas etc. The centre is located in the midst of academically enriched environment of University of Savitribai Phule Pune Campus, Pune. NCCS invites applications for following posts on various extramural projects purely on temporary basis.
1. Name of the Post: Research Associate
2. No of Post: 1
3. Name of the project: COE - Cellular Stress Proteins in HIV Infection: Biochemical and Functional Characterization.
4. Essential Qualification: Ph. D/MD/MS/MDS or equivalent degree or having 3 years of research, teaching and design and development experience after MVSc/M.Pharm/ME/M.Tech with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal.
5. Desirbale: Experience in Virology and animal cell culture. Previous experience in biochemical characterization of protein-protein interactions will be preferred.
6. Emoulments: Rs.47,000/- fixed

3. Name of the project: Impact of mass bathing on the natural microbiota of the river Ganges; a concern to human health
4. Essential Qualification: Ph. D/MD/MS/MDS or equivalent degree or having 3 years of research, teaching and design and development experience after MVSc/M.Pharm/ME/M.Tech with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal.
5. Desirbale: Experience in Sample preparation including library preparation and quality control for amplicon sequencing as well as shotgun metagenomics. (ii) Complete bioinformatic analysis of amplicon, shotgun and microbial genome sequence data.

3. Name of the project: Development of Nanobodies as prophylactic and therapeutic candidates against SARS-CoV-2 virus
4. Essential Qualification: Ph. D/MD/MS/MDS or equivalent degree or having 3 years of research, teaching and design and development experience after MVSc/M.Pharm/ME/M.Tech with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal.
5. Desirbale: Experience with expression and purification of viral proteins, antigen- antibody interactions, advanced molecular biology or whole cell-patch clamp.
6. Emoulments: Rs.47,000/- fixed
