Job Description
Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the post of one Research Associate(RA) and two Junior Research fellows (JRF) for the project entitled 'Reassessing Insect Assemblage after Three Decades to Decipher Climate Change Induced Impact in Southern Western Ghats'.
1.Research Associate (RA)
Title of the project/Project No. : Reassessing Insect Assemblage after Three Decades to Decipher Climate Change Induced Impact in Southern Western Ghats

Duration : 3 year
Essential qualification : Ph.D. (in Zoology) or First Class M.Sc in Zoology with research experience in entomology . Candidates who have submitted Ph.D. thesis and are waiting for viva voce may also apply. Candidate should be well versed with entomology museum specimen collection and handling. The candidate applying for Research Associate ship must have at least one research publication in standard referred journal as listed in journal Citation Reports(JCR)
Desirable 1.Experience in Insect Taxonomy
2.Experience in handling entomology museum specimen
Fellowship : Rs. 36,000/- per month
Age : As on 01.01.2020, 36 years. Age relaxation of five years in the case of scheduled caste/scheduled tribe candidates and three years in the case of other backward communities as per government rules will be given.
2. Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
Title of the project/Project No. : Reassessing Insect Assemblage after Three Decades to Decipher Climate Change Induced Impact in Southern Western Ghats

Essential qualification : 1. First class M.Sc in Zoology with specialization in Entomology/Wildlife Biology.
Desirable 1.Experience of field work in insects
2.Experience in insect collection
Fellowship : Rs. 22,000/- per month
Age : As on 01.01.2020, 36 years. Age relaxation of five years in the case of scheduled caste/scheduled tribe candidates and three years in the case of other backward communities as per government rules will be given.
Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
