Research Associate/ JRF  job Position in  Defence Research and Development Organisation - SASE RDC

Research Associate

Qualification  :  A doctorate degree (Ph.D) from a recognized university/Institute in Remote Sensing/ Computer Science/Electronics and Communication, with at least one research paper in Science Citation indexed (SCI) Journal. OR M.Tech with first division in Remote Sensing/Computer Science/Electronics and Communication with three years research or teaching experience with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) Journal.

Desirable :  (i) Working experience of snow, avalanche and glacier related research work. (ii) Proficiency in using GIS and Remotes Sensing based software's (ERDAS, ArcGIS, ENVI, QGIS etc). (iii) Knowledge of geo-spatial modeling techniques.

Stipend :  Rs. 54000/- Plus HRA

Junior Research Fellow 

No. of Posts : 05

Qualification :  

a. Essential: Post graduate Science degree in first division (both at graduate and post graduate level) with NET/GATE in the fields of Remote Sensing/GIS/Geomatics/Geo-informatics. OR ME or M.Tech in first division (both at graduate and post graduate level) in the fields of Remote Sensing/GIS/Geomatics/Geo-informatics/Computer Science.  

b. Essential: M.Tech in First division (both at graduate and post graduate level) in Electronics & Communication/Electronics & Instrumentation/Electronics Engg.  

c. Post graduate Science degree in first division (both at graduate and post graduate level) with NET/GATE in the fields Atmospheric Sciences/ Meteorology/ Physics/Environmental Science  

d. Essential: ME or M.Tech in first division (both at graduate and post graduate level) in the fields of Remote Sensing/ GIS/ Geomatics/Geo-informatics/ Computer Science. OR Post graduate Science degree in first division (both at graduate and post graduate level) with NET/GATE in the fields of' Remote Sensing/GlS/Geomatics/Geo-informatics/Computer Science.

Desirable :  

a. (i) Good Working knowledge of different Remote Sensing & GIS software’s (e.g. ERDAS, ArcGIS, ENVI etc). (ii) Experience of field work, preferably in snow/glacier regions. (iii) Good working knowledge of Hyper spectral technology, Geospatial modeling, etc 

b. (i) Computer knowledge. 

c. Desirable: (i) Exposure/good working knowledge of different Remote Sensing & GIS Software’s (e.g. ERDAS, ArcGIS, ENVI etc). (ii) Good working knowledge of SAR technology, Geo-spatial modeling etc. (iii) Experience of field work, preferably in glaciers. (iv) NET/GATE qualified.

Pay Scale :  Rs.25000-31000/- p.m
